Psoriasis

What is Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can cause raised, scaly patches on the skin. It is associated with an overactive immune response and may also be influenced by genetic and environmental factors. The condition can affect people of different age groups and may vary in severity.

Common symptoms of psoriasis include red or discoloured patches of skin, scaling, itching, dryness, irritation, and discomfort. In some cases, psoriasis may also affect the scalp, nails, or joints. Although psoriasis is not contagious, persistent symptoms can affect a person's comfort, confidence, and quality of life.

Several skin conditions, including vitiligo, acne, fungal infections, and cracked heels, can also affect the appearance and health of the skin. However, each condition has different causes and requires proper evaluation and treatment.

Psoriasis requires appropriate diagnosis and long-term management. Treatment may include topical medicines, phototherapy, systemic medicines, or other therapies depending on the severity of the condition. Ayurvedic approaches may also be considered as supportive care under the guidance of a qualified practitioner, but they should not replace appropriate medical treatment.

For concerns related to male sexual health, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, low libido, infertility, or other sexual problems, consulting the Best Ayurvedic Sexologist can help provide personalized guidance and an appropriate treatment approach.
